Description
Provides assistance to parents caring for a child with severe disabilities at home through a range of health supports and services. Offers respite benefits allowing parents to choose appropriate care options for their child and family.

Also offers a range of basic, essential medical items and services including medical equipment, orthotics, hearing equipment and supplies, dental or orthodontic benefits, medical transportation, therapies, medications, and medical service plan coverage.

Program Delivery
Eligibility: Children assessed as dependant in at least three of four functional activities of daily living (eating, dressing, toileting, and washing); living at home with a parent or guardian; a resident of BC and enrolled with the BC Medical Services Plan. Age Range: aged 18 and under for respite benefits; 17 years and under for medical benefits.
